RCMP TELLS OFFICERS EXEMPTEES CAN MEDICATE WHERE THEY CHOOSE
Good news. We received a call today from Staff Sergeant Brad Zalys of the
Sunshine Coast RCMP. Sergeant Zalys was very polite and assured us that he
has contacted all of his officers and they now understand that "exemptees
have the legal right to use their medical marihuana anywhere they choose."
We were also glad to report that both Sergeant Zalys and Corporal Meyer have
been off since last Saturday and that is the only reason we did not get a
confirmation earlier.
Unlike the terrible disrespect for the law that we have witnessed with law
enforcement in the US, we are pleased to report that both the RCMP and
Health Canada have acted promptly and decisively to uphold the rights of
patients who are authorized to use medical marihuana.
